SUMMER TIME
Summertime is a time for exploring, discovering, running, and swinging. At the CNS summer program, we spend most of our time outside. Our large campus includes a tree house and slide, large sandbox, swings, a climbing tunnel, a blacktop for riding bikes, scooters, shooting baskets, bouncing balls, a playhouse and so much more.
When the weather turns wet, we have a large well equipped indoor playroom with tunnels and slides and riding toys.
SUMMER vs. SCHOOL
Summer Session is designed for children turning 3 by July 31, 2024 and not entering Kindergarten in the fall.
Unlike our regular nursery school sessions, our Summer Session is conducted in a more loosely structured setting with most of our time outdoors. Please consider this when choosing our program for your child especially if he or she has not had previous preschool experience.
During Week 1 the incoming 3s will begin their mornings indoors until they are familiar with their staff, the playground, and the schedule and know their “home space”. Parents of new children are invited to stay until their child is comfortable with our program.
OUR STAFF
Our staff is composed of permanent members of the nursery school staff and those experienced with our Summer Session philosophy and young children.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We are a child-centered program where children are free to express their interests and explore their environment within a safe, nurturing place. We have created a fun and gentle introduction to the summer experience for children who turn 3 by July 31 and not attending kindergarten in September.

RAINY DAYS
We spend our day in fully equipped classrooms and in our large indoor playroom. Our playroom has a large climb-in sandbox filled with dustless Jurassic sand, riding toys, train tracks, a climbing structure with double slide, a colorful play castle with secret passages and turret plus a dinosaur digging pit for young paleontologists.
